The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government - lest it come to dominate our lives and interests. -- Patrick Henry

Reason #8

No longer forced to recognize decisions made by other states

A federal law exists that forces states to recognize laws passed in other states. This federal law flies in the face of the intention of the Founding Fathers that the states remain sovereign entities, left to determine their own futures. The Founding Fathers intended for the states to be the "laboratories of democracy" where new laws could be tested and perfected. Imposing the laws of one state on the other states undermines the sovereignty of the states and infringes on their rights.
